This is not a caliber war, just a friendly poll for the heck of it. Just note your favorite caliber, 9mm and higher, for personal defense. No criticism of anybody's choice permitted. Keep it brief.

The only defense gun I own is a Kel-Tec P-3AT, so I guess .380 is my default, but not my favorite.
If my choice was based on caliber only, it would be .357 magnum (revolver) or .357 SIG (semi).

I just consider the 357 Sig and the 357 Magnum to be more powerful loadings of the above loads.
