Yes, indeed! That is some real xxxx(expletive deleted)rigging engineering!! Ruined a perfectly good P32. 
Since I no longer have any 32's and don't like 32's (very politely..32's suck!) I won't volunteer to do any 32 testing, normal or magnum. Been there, done that! It sucks!
I had 3 P32's at one time. Erratic results on wetpack tests with all JHP ammo turned me off. I even tried to show that CorBon 32 ammo might work. The next time I tried it (not posted) it failed to expand again. Tried to get HydraShok to work, it wouldn't either. Suck, suck suck!!
The third P32 I bought was a pretty chrome job. The blasted plastic housing warped allowing damage to the aluminum frame when I fired it. Dealer took it back on trade and then I sold the other two.
The .32acp was John Browning's first semi-auto pistol. Way back in 1899. He was learning. All he had to go on was revolver ammo which he cut down to fit. But he left the stupid rim. Well, it all worked fine as long as FMJ ammo was used. Colt picked up the design and sold a lot of their Colt 1903's for pocket carry. It was a big hit until Winchester came out with the Silvertip hollowpoint for the 32. Trouble was, the round was shorter than FMJ and jumped around in the magazine during recoil, eventually causing rimlock. The bullet wouldn't expand everytime either. In fact nobodys .32 JHP will expand reliably to this day.
So, I repeat, .32's suck!! Only FMJ should be carried in one. And then you don't have anything better than a .25acp (which Browning also invented, but he got the ammo right that time!!).
